Independent Film and Video Chicago Is Seeking Interns
Independent Film and Video Chicago is currently looking for interns to assist them on several projects including; our upcoming television show, our monthly film and video screening and our general website content.
iFvChicago is a great working atmosphere with fun people. All intern applicants must have a good work ethic, a decent knowledge of film and video, and are dependable. Interns should be currently enrolled in college or eligible for college credit. Volunteers of all education and skill levels are also eligible and greatly appreciated.
Internships are available in the following areas:
Journalism Intern are needed to document our events as well as other events in Chicago. e.g. Film Festivals, Film Screenings. Good writing skills and an appreciation as well as knowledge of film and video are highly recommended.
Television Production Intern should have a good understanding and appreciation of field and in studio television production. Television Production Intern should also be knowledgeable with the latest editing and composting applications. e.g. PhotoShop, After Effects, Final Cut Pro...The work includes; field and studio production work, auditioning talent, editing and producing.
Promotions Intern should have excellent communication and design skill. Promotions Intern’s tasks include creating newsletters, assisting towards the monthly film screening and general web-site promotion. Knowledge of InDesign or Quark, Photoshop and Illustrator are recommended.
WebSite Intern should have a strong design sense as well as a decent programming background. Knowledge of Flash, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, Java, Dreamweaver, GoLive, Quicktime and web-streaming are recommended but not necessary.
