Jacob Rosen lives in the northwest suburbs with his wife, son and dog. He has a day job. He has a B.A. in English from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He believes the director is absolute, which explains Ryan O'Neal in "Barry Lyndon". His favorite filmmakers are Billy Wilder and Michael Powell with a nod to Martin Scorsese, Orson Welles, Bertrand Tavernier, John Ford and Walt Disney. The filmmakers he thinks are overrated include Ingmar Bergman, Spike Lee, John Carpenter and Eric Rohmer. He's a Cancer, which explains nothing, and a Cub fan, which explains everything.
Jacob Rosen's reviews will be appearing continuously on iFvChicago.com. Please remember to be generous to the wait staff and try the veal.
