HALLOWEEN Screening Winners
iFvChicago.com and Frankie Js October edition of Screen-2-Stream was held on October 28th at the Meathadome Theatre on Broadway. The event was hosted by Angela Farruggia, featured a bubbling brew of Halloween-related films and videos by Chicago artists. The audience was treated to candy and great music to finish off the evening. And of course what screening would be complete without picking your favorites? October featured pieces submitted by Christina Carbonara, Michael Gentry, Carlos J. Jimenez, Tom Flanagan, Robert Wray, Andre Smith, Michael Jarecki and Wojciech Lorenc.
At the end the audience voted for the best film of the night.

"Hungry"

The first place winner was Michael Jarecki with his dark-humored piece entitled, Hungry. The video follows a young man who is alone in his apartment and quite hungry. To relive his loneliness, he invites a friend over for dinner. Sitting in the kitchen, the young man attacks his friend thus eating him for dinner to relive his hunger. The piece was well shot and had a great soundtrack that featured Frank Sinatra. Check it out on our site! Congratulations, Michael!!!

"Souvenirs"

The second place goes to Robert Wrays Souvenirs for creeping out just about every one of us! His piece follows a girl who mysteriously places roaches among her
victims. This piece can be viewed as a comment about promiscuous behavior as well. This film is a must see. Check it out on our site! Way to go, Robert!!!

"Killer Pumpkin"

The third place winner was none other that Killer Pumpkin by Christina Carbonara. This video featured a girl who, in the spirit of Halloween, decides to carve out a pumpkin. When she is through, she sits at her kitchen table, across from a pumpkin, complete with a flickering glow. Feeling uncomfortable, she decides to place the pumpkin on her doorstep. Watch it on our site to find out the surprisingly eerie ending! Great job, Christina!!!
